The End of Season Awards

Seen as though its the end of the season I thought I would review the season in an award type system handing out various awards from the 2010/11 Premier league Season. These awards are entirely my opinions regarding everything and are not necessary correct and everyone will not agree

The Goal Of The Season - For this award I have named the top 3 goals in my opinion and all of these goals are brilliant in there own way
1st - Gareth Bale Vs Stoke City - Aaron Lennon crossed the ball to Gareth Bale unleashed a fantastic volley with a brilliant technique which hit the top corner of the net which gave the keeper no chance
2nd - Cheik Tiote Vs Arsenal - A Free kick from joey barton swung into the box where the ball was headed out by an arsenal defender for Tiote to smash in a volley from 20 yards out to seal possibly the greatest premier league comeback ever
3rd - Wayne Rooney Vs Man City - Nani Crossed the ball for Rooney to rise perfectly and unleash a spectacular overhead kick which the keeper had no chance to save

The Game Of The Season - For this I have named the top 3 games in my opinion i have considered every game of the premier league season rating them on importance, amount of goals, entertainment and the skill of the players
1st Newcastle United 4-4 Arsenal - This game had everything 8 goals, a red card, two penalties a 4 goal comeback. The game started off disastrously conceding 4 goals in 26 minutes all of the players looked shocked and arsenal were completely on top however in the second half Newcastle put in an amazing performance coming back from 4-0 down to draw 4-4 and the equaliser was sensational stuff from Cheik Tiote
2nd Wigan 3-2 West Ham - I have chosen this as second as I always enjoy a relegation scrap and this superficially kept Wigan up and unfortunately comfirmed the relegation of West Ham, the last 10 minutes of this game was sensational end to end stuff with both teams having chances and both teams battling bravely to stay up and a brilliant game to watch as a neutral.
3rd Newcastle 5-1 Sunderland - I know I might be biased towards Newcastle but any football fan would agree that a 5-1 against your biggest rivals is a tremendous achievement and worthy of the game of the season. This game also see a hat-trick for the hard working ever reliant Kevin Nolan accompanied by two goals by the always present but hugely inconsistent striker Shola Ameobi as well as a consolation goal for a born goal scorer Darren Bent as well as a red card for the ex Newcastle defender Titus Bramble, this game was perfect for any Sunday afternoon.

Manager of the Season - For this award I have considered all managers that graced the premier league season this year considering their achievements for their specified clubs and my top 3 are as follows
1st Sir Alex Ferguson - Usually I try to avoid choosing the managers from the bigger teams but this season he won the league with Man Utd fairly comfortably and reached the champions league final and was only denied the Trophy by possibly the greatest club side ever, he also reached the FA cup semi final and possibly would have won the in form striker Wayne Rooney wasn't suspended
2nd Ian Holloway - Despite his team been relegated and him starting to annoy me by march with his annoying press conferences and his repetitiveness of Blackpools "David and Goliath" situation he managed to get a team fundamentally built up of championship and league one players to nearly survive relegation and the style of football played by Blackpool was very adventurous and they were so close to survival despite been written off so many times
3rd Roberto Mancini - Despite him having billions of pounds to spend on players and fantastic players at his disposal and his occasional negative tactics, he managed to secure a trophy with the FA Cup and his tactics in some games were just short of superb and he proved what a great manager he is and in the next few years under his management and the amount of money at his disposal I reckon Man City will become a force to be reckoned with

Hero of the Season- This award is for the player who contributed a lot to their team and had an all round good season and in my opinion had the best season
Charlie Adam - This guy had a tremendous season and was pivotal in Blackpools team and undoubtedly will go on to a better team (no disrespect to Blackpool) and will have a brilliant career, his vision and passing ability as well as his set piece ability was very important in Blackpools style of play

Villain of the Season - This award is for the stupidest act of the season which cost his team games and caused huge media controversity
Wayne Rooney - His goal celebration against West Ham gained him a match ban which made him mis his teams FA Cup semi-final, There was no need for him to swear right into the camera however i think the match ban was harsh and unnecessary
Joey Barton - I'm a big fan of Joey Barton and apart from this event he had a good season and looked to have matured but his punch of Morten Gamst Pederson was stupid and unnecessary and gained him a three match ban and was hugely missed in those games, however despite this Barton showed class this season and proved many people wrong about him and has gone up highly in my estimations of him

That is all of my end of season awards, thanks for taking time out to read this and i hope you have enjoyed my choices, feel free to comment on any disagreements
